Welcome Midway Products Group

Midway Products Group, a tier 1 automotive manufacturing supplier, announced plans today to establish a facility in North Vernon, creating up to 150 new jobs by 2018.

Midway Products Group, which is headquartered in Monroe, Michigan, will construct and equip a 200,000 square-foot building on 72 acres in North Vernon. Once complete, the facility will house multiple metal stamping presses as well as weld and assembly equipment to manufacture stamped components and assemblies for the automotive industry.

The company plans to begin construction in September and expects to start operations in the 3rd quarter of 2017. Midway Products Group plans to manufacture parts at its new facility to keep up with increased demand from its customers, including Ford, General Motors and Toyota.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Midway Products Group up to $800,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $75,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company in not eligible to claim incentives. The city of North Vernon will consider additional incentives at the request of Jennings County Economic Development Commission.
