Valeo Plans $35 Million Investment in Seymour

Valeo North America announced plans for major growth of its Seymour location during a meeting of the Seymour City Council on December 14.

In its request for tax abatement, the company revealed plans to invest over $35 million in new equipment to support its business growth. In addition, the new investment is expected to create up to 43 new jobs while helping retain its current workforce of 2,721 associates.

Matt Morley of Valeo said the company plans on investing $35,940,000 at its Freeman Field location in equipment for its automotive lighting business.

City Council unanimously approved the abatement at the request of JCIDC.
