Valeo North America announced plans to make a $40 million investment during 2022, which will add 25 new jobs at its Seymour location.

Appearing before the Seymour City Council on November 22nd, Matt Morley of Valeo said the company will make the investment in new manufacturing equipment “to support business growth.” Valeo will begin the investment in January and expects to complete the project by the end of the year.

At its Freeman Field locations, Valeo designs and manufactures automotive lighting systems. The company currently employs 2,233 associates and projects 25 new jobs will be created as part of the expansion.

City Council unanimously approved 10-year tax abatement for the company.
