A new investment of $3.5 million in machinery was announced by officials of The Royal Group during an abatement request before the Seymour City Council in late August.

Patty Thomas, controller of Touchpoint LLC (dba The Royal Group) said the company plans investment to purchase new equipment for the facility, located at Seymour’s East Side Industrial Park. The project will allow the company to retain its current workforce of 67 associates, plus the company revealed plans to hire 6 new employees in the abatement filing.

The Royal Group produces and provides corrugated, packaging supplies, graphics and displays, fulfillment, and logistics to its customers. The company operates at two facilities in Seymour at the East Side Park: 2245 Killion Avenue and 328 Elsner Drive.

The company was granted 10-year tax abatement.
