South Central Indiana Economic Development Hosts Chicago Bears Event

After a year off due to COVID-19, members of the South Central Indiana team returned to Chicago to host its annual event at Soldier Field to watch the Bears play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 19th.

For more than 10 years, SCIED has entertained Chicago-area clients during a Bears game, and this year Jason Hester, Darrell Voelker, Bryan Robbins, Tammi Gibson, and Jim Plump were on hand to welcome guests for the NFL game and to provide new information on the South Central Indiana region.

Site consultants, real estate executives, attorneys, and accountants were among those in attendance as was the newly-named Consul General of Japan to Chicago, Hiroshi Tajima, who had just arrived in the U.S. a week before. Theresa Kulzcak, executive director of the Japan America Society of Indiana, also was on hand to greet Tajima.

“We had a great turnout and it was a great day to welcome our guests to sell them on doing business in our region,” said Darrell Voelker, SCIED President, who also added “and the Bears won, which made everyone happy!”
