SCIED Partners with GIS Planning to Showcase Available Sites & Buildings

The South Central Indiana Economic Development Region (SCIED) is continuing its partnership with GIS Planning via an agreement with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to feature a searchable site & building database.  Interested users can search more than 100 available sites and a current roster of 83 different buildings that are actively on the market within the ten-county South Central Indiana region, all at no cost and without registration.

Users can apply a number of filters to narrow one’s search, including size, use, sale/lease, and attributes such as rail-service, crane availability, and more.

One of the more robust features is the radius tool, which allows users to find workforce and demographic data from any of our sites or buildings using custom drive-times or distances,” said Darrell Voelker, SCIED President.  “Companies can also then save and export all their favorite sites, including property photos, aerials, and other useful information.”

Key Features of the GIS Search system include:

  • Search buildings by size, type, sale/lease, and attributes such as rail, cranes, and more.
  • Search land by acreage, shovel-ready status, rail-access and more
  • Use the radius tool to see available workforce & demographics within custom drive-times, miles, or other parameters
  • Download property flyers for all or just your favorites, including photos and additional information.
