R&L Carriers, Inc to Build $30 Million Logistics Facility in Bartholomew County
R & L Carriers, Inc., an Ohio-based global freight transportation and logistics company, has announced plans to invest more than $30.0 Million to construct and equip a new 150-door logistics facility in Bartholomew County, Indiana. The company’s new facility will be built in the Bartholomew County I-65/US 31 Industrial Park on US 31 near Edinburgh, one mile north of I-65 Exit 76.
“Locating in a good neighborhood, with good business neighbors, offering a good secondary job market for our employee’s family members, and our relationship with the community are all very important to us,” said Jeff Huangs, Vice President, in the company’s local incentive application.
According to incentive filing with Bartholomew County government, the company plans to hire 79 full time jobs by opening day in Summer of 2022, with future growth anticipated.
In support of the project, Bartholomew County government approved a 10-year tax abatement on the new building property taxes and a 5-year abatement on qualifying personal property, with both abatements allowing a gradual phase-in of net new property taxes.
