Applied Labs and Rightway Fasteners Expand in Columbus
The Columbus City Council approved two separate tax abatement applications at Tuesday night’s meeting. Applied Laboratories, Inc. has received a tax abatement on an investment of $2,400,000 for new manufacturing equipment. Back in 2017, the Council granted them a real and personal property tax abatement for the expansion of one of their buildings and new equipment. This $2,400,000 worth of equipment will be installed in their newly constructed building. The company projects the retention of 130 jobs with 4 new jobs added by June 2021.
Rightway Fasteners, Inc. was approved for a tax abatement on an investment of $900,000 in new manufacturing equipment. The company projects the retention of 435 new jobs with 3 new jobs added by the end of 2021.
