Educational Opportunities in South Central IndianaBoth public and private schools offer an array of educational options for primary and secondary students. All schools throughout the South Central Indiana region are dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure environment where the focus is on the mastery of the basics. The educational goals within both the private and parochial schools within the area are focused on connecting children, teachers and the community to form a united alliance in the quest for excellence.

Students attend school 180 days per year. To ensure that solid reading, writing and math skills are mastered, Indiana students are required to pass the Graduation Qualifying Exam, or GQE, to receive a high school diploma. Modern facilities, a varied curriculum and a highly professional staff within both private and parochial educational sectors, see to it that students are prepared for college and the workforce.

The South Central Indiana region, comprised of eight counties, is proud of its high graduation rate and diverse educational options. This area is home to some 163 private and parochial K-12 school systems for student enrichment.
